I love this story, but I have not been able to source it to a real news report. I'm a little suspicious that it may be the stuff of those feel good email chain letters. I hope I'm wrong and it really happened.

seems to have happened back in september 2007 in nova scotia. found this canadian red cross press release citing the incident and giving them an award for their anti-bullying. http://www.redcross.ca/article.asp?id=26927&tid...
